Pirastro P214421 violin string G-4 extra soft (15 1/4), gut core, silver

The Pirastro P214421 G-4 extra soft is a violin string with a natural gut core and silver winding. For players seeking a warm, expressive tone from the G string, this string offers a particularly smooth response thanks to its extra-soft tension. The gut core produces a traditional, full undertone that blends well with chamber music and orchestral sounds, while the silver winding provides extra stability and maintains a bright character during dynamic bowing. This G-4 is particularly suitable for both beginning violinists looking for comfort in arco and pizzicato, and advanced players seeking nuance in dynamics and tonality. It is ideal for classical repertoire and light baroque pieces where a rich bass and precise intonation are key. The combination of a gut core and silver winding produces a harmonious sound with natural sustain, allowing you to fine-tune the tone control and projection to your playing style.
