The TAD 5751 HIGHGRADE (RT090) is a top-of-the-line preamp tube with extremely low microphonics, hum, and noise . Only 1-5% of the production meets the HIGHGRADE standard , guaranteeing the highest quality and performance .
With slightly less gain than a standard 12AX7 , but a significant improvement in clarity, smoothness and vintage tonal character , this tube is perfect for guitarists wanting a dynamic and warm tone with big, full bass and a silky smooth top end .
In high-gain amplifiers, the 5751 HIGHGRADE helps to better define the tone and achieve more classic crunch . In hi-fi applications and CD players, this tube lowers the noise floor and delivers a smoother, clearer sound than many standard 12AX7 tubes.
