Pirastro P212451 violin string G-4 thick (16 1/2), gut core, silverplated

Pirastro's P212451 offers violinists who want to play Baroque music exactly what they're looking for: an authentic G string with a gut core and silver plating that delivers a warm, richly engaging tone with a broad dynamic range. The G-4 gauge (16 1/2) provides extra presence in the lower registers without sacrificing responsiveness, allowing both delicate articulations and full marcato placements to flow smoothly from the quill. The combination of gut core and silver plating produces a natural, classically pronounced tone that is excellent for historically inspired performances and chamber music. This string is suitable for violinists who want to approach the Baroque sound as it was originally intended, with transparent response and pleasant projection. Backed by Pirastro's expertise in period instrument design, the P212451 offers stability and consistent tone over long playing periods, which is especially valuable for achieving long projection and expressive dynamics in ensemble playing.
